Matt Arleth

Spawned on the west coast, Matt grew up moving from town to town, country to country, until he landed in Northern Colorado and discovered fly fishing.  Well, that was 25 years ago and Matt is still here. He has migrated to Summit County and has been guiding the local waters here for at least a dozen years. Matt is a teacher at heart.  He is passionate about History, Geology, and Troutology.  Known to many as “The Professor” a trip with Matt is always about more than just fishing.

Matt loves working with anyone who wants to learn, regardless of skill level.  Patience and passion are two of Matt’s best qualities.  From new fly fishers and Wounded Warriors, to the seasoned pro, a day on the water with Matt will be an unforgettable experience.
Matt lives in the Denver area with his wife and two children.  He is a high school history and economics teacher in the off season, spending his summers living and guiding in Summit County.
