The Snake River above Keystone Resort consists of small pocket water, and beaver ponds that contain small Brook Trout. This stretch of water is best fished during the warmer months of the year.  The Snake River through Keystone Resort, to Dillon Reservoir is the more productive section, and is usually stocked several times a year.  A nymph rig, or hopper-dropper set up are the go to set ups for fishing the snake

The Snake has already been stocked once this spring, but is currently flowing very fast.  It is fishing best at the inlet to Dillon Reservoir.  Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and even Arctic Char are being caught.  Two or three nymphs fished about 3’ or 4’ below a strike indicator has been the go to rig.
