Employee Feature: Getting to Know Harlan Kimball
Getting to Know Harlan Kimball
Harlan Kimball is one of those guys in fly fishing that ya just want to be around. He is easy going, knows our Colorado home waters very well, and loves fly fishing...A lot. We are happy to have him on the team and we hope you enjoy this feature on our semi-new Marketing Guy.
Harlan grew up on the east coast and spent most of his youth in Vermont and Cape Cod fishing, ski racing, and laxing. His home water is the North Atlantic area of Cape Cod where he grew up fishing for Stripers and Tuna. His fly fishing journey first ignited when he tore his ACL at DU his sophomore year (2013ish). "I couldn't ski or do much else so I just started fishing."
Harlan has been in the fly fishing industry since graduating in 2016. These days, you will find him in the shop during the week running our marketing and helping customers. On the weekends, he is likely getting into an adventure or two. His favorite type of fishing? "Summer hoppers on the South Platte."
In addition to summer hoppers, Harlan loves fishing streamers. A lot. Feel free to swing by on a weekday or shoot him a DM on the Cutthroat Anglers social media accounts.
Cheers,
Ben McCormick
