Wolford Mountain Reservoir

Wolford Mountain Reservoir is located just 5 miles north of Kremmling, CO and provides great fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout, kokanee salmon, and invasive northern pike. There is a $20 bounty on all norther pike caught (click here for more info on the bounty). A parking pass is required in certain spots on the reservoir and year around camping is available. Wolford also allows water contact sports like, swimming, wakeboarding, and tubing.

Current Conditions: As of 1/14/25

Ice Thickness and Snow Conditions :

Wolford has good ice conditions at the moment. Safe ice can be found all over the lake. We tend to like fishing close to the boat ramp/campground area. You can catch everything from rainbow trout, brown trout, and pike!

Guide Tip of the Week

We are still waiting on Wolford to cap. There might be some unstable ice at the inlet, however, I wouldn’t try it yet. When things are ready, Dynamic HD Ice lures and Atomic tubes are great for the early season at Wolford. Look for fish on points and in shallow coves when the ice forms.
