Green Mountain Reservoir

Green Mountain Reservoir is located about 23 miles north of Silverthorne and can have productive fishing for lake trout, kokanee salmon, cutbow trout, and brown trout. There is a $20 bounty on norther pike. If you catch one please remove it from the reservoir.

Current Conditions: As of 5/14/25

The inlet is fishing good right now, especially with stonefly patterns and jigged nymphs. With snowmelt bringing in cool, oxygen-rich water, trout are stacking up in the current looking for an easy meal. Out on the main lake, fishing has been solid, particularly around points and secondary inlets. As the water rises, trout are pushing shallow to feed on newly flooded shoreline zones and cruising structure. There is a $20 bounty on norther pike. If you catch one please remove it from the reservoir
