Green Mountain Reservoir
Green Mountain Reservoir is located about 23 miles north of Silverthorne and can have productive fishing for lake trout, kokanee salmon, cutbow trout, and brown trout. There is a $20 bounty on norther pike. If you catch one please remove it from the reservoir.

Green mountain has capped with ice. Targeting Green Mountain Lake trout through the early ice can be extremely productive… on the right day. Look for fish in deep water at the bottom of contour leading to flats. Fish can also be found amongst structure and on points in shallower water. My favorite jig on GMR is a Jake’s lure joint tiny tube in white and chartreuse tipped with a little strip of sucker meat.
