I’m from the small town of Lyons in the foothills of the Rockies. I was raised in the outdoors and rafting all the major waterways of the west. My childhood was definitely the foundation of my passion for fly fishing and I love sharing that with other people in whatever I’m doing. 

My favorite local fishing spot is Clinton Gulch Reservoir. Chalk full of eager cutthroat trout! 

I haven’t been many places, haven’t been on a real vacation since I was in highschool, but I’ve fished Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, the Rio grande, all the corners of Colorado, and I have big salt water dreams. 

When I’m not fishing I’m thinking about fishing and talking to people about it whether they care or not. I also enjoy tying flies, playing pokemon or ski patrolling at Copper Mountain.

Colorado has unbeatable biodiversity and unique ecosystems. You can fish for bass, trout, and musky in one day. Plus, trout don’t live in ugly places. The views are just as good as the fishing.
