Our owner Ben is hosting two groups of 4 anglers to his house in Florida to flood tide fish with Gold In' Grass Charters. Higher than usual tides, called floods, bring more water into the marsh and flood grass fields full of nutrients. Redfish are eager to crawl into these grass fields in search of prey. We fish via shallow water skiff in search of skinny water reds for 4-5 hour windows at the highest tide. These events are unique because fish are often seen backs out of the water or waving their tails in shallow fields. A top water gurgler is my favorite way to do it and casting a grasshopper translates well to gurgler fishing.
