Care, Maintenance and Intended use of the Dragonfly Raft Harness.
Keep it clean, dry, and out of the sun when not in use and to never take the condition of your equipment for granted.
Nylon webbing is known for its high tensile strength and durability. However, water absorption can decrease the strength of nylon web slings by as much as 10-15%. It is recommended to attach the Dragon Raft Harness to a raft when it is out of water or limit the amount of time the Dragon Raft Harness is in water. A dry harness is the strongest harness. Keeping your Dragon Raft Harness away from the exposure to the sun, UV light, for extended periods of time will also increase the lifetime of the harness.
It is recommended to limit or reduce the weight of your raft prior to using the Dragon Raft Harness to load your raft onto a trailer. Reduced raft weight will lower the possibility of overloading the harness and harness failure. Inspections pre and post use of the Dragon Raft Harness includes all webbing and supporting materials. Inspection should include a thorough look at every inch of harnesses and restraint devices for any damage to your webbing and load bearing stitches. The best way to ensure the safety and security of load-bearing nylon is to inspect it as often as you use it.
Do not use the Dragon Raft Harness in excess of your trailer’s capacity of the equipment and refer to trailer’s manufacture for specifications and limits.
