It wouldn’t be an Alaskan experience without the surrounding beauty and wildlife that is so plentiful in this remote location.  The lodge operates within the Katmai National Park and Preserve that has one of the highest concentrations of brown bear populations in the world.  So, sometimes you just have to take a break from fishing just to watch those magnificent bears in their natural habitat.

If you’ve never been to Alaska, then this is the trip that was worth ‘wading’ for. If you are a seasoned Alaskan angler, you already know about the outstanding reputation of Bear Trail Lodge.  Your experience will begin as you depart Anchorage on the afternoon of Sunday September 3 to arrive at the lodge via Pen Air through King Salmon, which are included in the cost of the trip ($575 value).  You will be able to fish every day through the afternoon of Sunday, September 10, when you’ll prepare for an early evening return trip to Anchorage with arrival by 9:00 p.m.  (schedules may change a bit, but we’ll get you home!)
