F3T raises over $30,000 for Project Healing Waters! :: Cutthroat Anglers
F3T FUNDRAISER AND SILENT AUCTION
February 18 marked the third annual F3T fundraiser for the Colorado Springs Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program in Summit County. Held at the Town Pavilion in Silverthorne, attendees enjoyed the 2016 F3T films and one of the largest silent auctions of the year. New this year, Kickapoo Tavern donated food for the event and Baker’s Brewery donated one of the best microbrews around – The Barking Dog Brown ale. Major program sponsors included Alpine Bank, Summit County Rotary, Mountain Angler, and Cutthroat Anglers.
The generosity of the attendees that night came through once again. With an estimated attendance of about 225, more than $33,000 was raised for the benefit of our disabled active military personnel and veterans. Military installations that benefit from this event include Fort Carson, Schriever Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force Base, and the Air Force Academy. The proceeds from this event, as well as the generosity of landowners who provide access to private waters in the area, will help the Summit and Grand County events continue to be among the most coveted excursions in the program.
THANK YOU!
A big thank you to everyone who helped, volunteered, donated, or just showed up, we all really appreciate it! Make sure to keep an eye out for next years Fly Fishing Film Tour and silent auction!
