Spring 2016 Guide School Reservations

Do you want to be a fly fishing guide on some of the best streams and rivers that you have only read about in magazines and seen in videos? Do you want to learn how to be safe and competent while rowing your own boat down a rowdy, western style river? Get started by attending Cutthroat Anglers fly fishing guide school. Held from Sunday April, 24th through Saturday, April 30th, our Colorado fly fishing guide school will teach you everything you need to know to achieve your fishing/rowing goals.

You will have expert, hands-on instruction from professional guide instructors with years of rowing and guiding experience. Our instructors have been teaching this class for over 10 years. This is a seven-day course that gives you the chance to get the personalized instruction you have been looking for to bring your game to the next level. Upon successful completion of our guide school you will receive the certification and knowledge you need to be a float guide in Colorado, as well as the knowledge and experience to guide other waters across the globe.

OUR COURSE

Every Fly Fishing Fanatic Knows That It Is Not Difficult to Make Our Course Fun. You will not have to sit in a classroom for an entire week at Cutthroat Anglers fly fishing guide school and pretend to cast in the hallway. We will take you out and show you what Gold Medal streams and big water rivers in Colorado have to offer. Going to our Colorado fly fishing school is like going on an intensive fly fishing vacation. Instead of walking away with a few trout, our students walk away with the ability to be professional Colorado float fishing guides.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT OUR COURSE

Our fly fishing guide school will include first aid training, CPR certification, oar boat (we use rafts) certification, and everything else you need to know about fly fishing. Our instructors, drawing from their many years of personal and professional experiences, will teach you more than you will be able to remember. Learn more than advanced aquatic entomology, boat fishing, and walk and wade technique. Also, learn about what being a fly fishing guide is really like.

EARNING A FLY FISHING GUIDE CERTIFICATION IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK

We always strive to keep class sizes small. You can expect a student to instructor ratio of about 2:1. After the successful completion of your coursework, you will hold a Colorado Whitewater Certification. Stay in Colorado to guide, or go to Patagonia (even though we really hope you stay in Colorado).

Call us today at 970-262-2878. The price for our 2016 spring guide school is $2,000. Lunch and soft drinks are provided daily. Discount lodging is available for our students at the Alpine Inn in Frisco (970-668-3122).
